TRIO By Plenty

TRIO is a new concept curated by the staff at Plenty Brighton, Bringing you three days of pop up kitchens offering you an insight to what they are about.

For the opening of this new event we bring you...

Gem's Wholesome Kitchen + Kleen Kitchen 26th of October

This Pop Up brings together two local talents, Gem from Gem’s Wholesome Kitchen and Nicola from The Kleen Kitchen. The evening aims to combine their love of seasonal and wholesome plant based food in the inviting setting of Café Plenty.
On arrival you will be welcomed with a cocktail followed by a four course meal, with the seating on large 'family-style' tables.
This vegan pop up was born out of a desire to bring together likeminded people for good food, a relaxed vibe and good times.
The menu is an autumnal warming and delicious feast.

Nicola is a Mum of three young boys who is passionate about great food and a healthy body. After making her own raw chocolate and desserts for years, a natural progression was setting up The Kleen Kitchen in April 2017.
All her desserts are made with plant based ingrediants that are free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar using the best quality organic ingrediants.
The Kleen Kitchen supplies local cafes, business and residents with raw plant based cakes and treats.

Gem – Gem’s Wholesome Kitchen
Gemma also a Mum of 2 and has been obsessed with cooking since she was very young.
Growing up in a large family she learnt to cook for lots of people at a very young age.
She recently moved back from Barcelona where she ran a vegan takeaway business from home and provided vegan bento boxes for travelling DJs.
Since being back in Brighton she makes Granola and Raw energy balls which go out to local supermarkets and cafes and has started cooking for yoga retreats.
Her love of cooking wholesome and tasty food combined with knowledge of how eating a plant based diet can change your life is where Gems Wholesome Kitchen was born.

Dichotomy/Duality Exhibition Closing Night at Cafe Plenty

Join us Saturday 4th November for the final night of the month long Dichotomy/Duality exhibition at Plenty Café. Set to be an exciting collaboration between contemporary visual artists and experimental musicians, you won’t want to miss this exceptional collective, rarely seen in Brighton.

Entrance on the door is £3.

Massimiliano Azzará is an experienced contemporary artist, focussing on the truth and certainty that pure de-constructivism unveils to him, as a painter and as a human being. Originally from Pescara, Italy, Massimiliano draws his influence from philosophy, theatre, music, science and artists of the past and present. Due to the huge influence and importance of musical composition within all of his works, Massimiliano has a necessity to collaborate with musicians - combining the environment of an art exhibition with live performance.

Dichotomy/Duality aims to cover and relate to a range of subjects that we are constantly engaged with in daily life, such as; politics/democracy, science/consciousness, religion/faith, time/tempo, finances/morality... The second instalment of artworks at Plenty looks to take the viewer on a more ethereal journey, exploring the outer realms of our own perception of space, time and consciousness.

With the backdrop of contemporary works, there will fantastic live performances from BlackMoon1348 and Light Specific Data.

Born in a clandestine cave, buried deep within the Himalaya BlackMoon1348 will perform Tantric, Industrial Tibetan Doom featuring Longhorns, Gayling (Tibetan Oboe), Ceremonial Rolmo cymbals, blended with raw analog droning synths and heavy detuned guitars; bowed to destruction. Returning from an epic, bi-cultural collaborative journey with the Tibetan Tashi Lhunpo monks, on tour in the UK this summer - which included performances for BBC Radio 6 and NTS Radio - BlackMoon1348 revisit Brighton as a duo following their astonishing show in September at The Green Door Store.

Support comes from Light Specific Data:
Blending found sound and field recordings with analogue synth and mangled electric guitar Light Specific Data create distorted, ambient drone soundscapes, punctuated with dissonant static charge. Featuring two members of Brighton's warped psychedelic collective ZOFFF this duo's rare live performance promises to be a unique, experimental sonic art happening.

Illumination will come courtesy of Innerstrings Visuals.
